Artist's Statement

I created this choreography for the song "I Matter" and thought of when people protest to have equal rights in their lives. I am proud to be Latina and I also want people to accept me the way I am. I hope my dance will inspire people to respect others. I also want my dance to make others understand that I have something to say and they need to listen to those who want to share their feelings.
