A note from our amazing art teacher:
Dear Dolphin Families,
The Sculpture Station is open for students in grades 1-5! This means we need lots of found objects. If you have a collection of items (toilet paper rolls, twist ties, corks, etc.) please send them in with your child in a grocery bag or other container. If you aren't sure if it's something we may want, feel free to email me: azincone@chccs.k12.nc.us
We are also in need collections of sparkly paper, larger pieces of left over scrap book paper, pompoms, sequins, and other fun collage materials.
A word about the term "collection." I prefer to have enough items to offer a few for each class throughout the week for a more equitable approach to creating, rather than a smattering of odds and ends. You may also start collecting things that you think might make fun sculpture material, but I do have limited space so a check in may be in order.
Kind regards,
Alice Zincone, NBCT
